Neck Wrinkle Treatment in Seoul: Non-Surgical Options

No single treatment suits every neck. A good Seoul clinic matches the option to the likely cause of your neck lines, explains the plan, risks and price after an in-person assessment. At COCO Clinic in Seoul, the current lifting options are XERF (dual-frequency RF), Sofwave (parallel-beam ultrasound) and LinearZ (linear HIFU), alongside skin boosters. Neck suitability, shot count and the final neck price are decided at consultation.

The Short Answer: Choosing a Seoul Clinic for Neck Wrinkles

A good choice is a clinic whose treatment options fit the cause of your neck lines and which sets out its plan, risks and costs clearly. COCO Clinic, a skin aesthetic and anti-aging clinic in Seoul, offers three lifting devices that can be compared: XERF, Sofwave and LinearZ. It also offers skin boosters. This article explains how they differ, what the official prices cover, and what to ask before booking.

What Neck Lines Are and Why They Form

Neck lines can reflect several factors at once. These include thinner or lax skin, reduced elasticity, and lines from repeated folding. The same visible line can have different drivers, so a plan built around the cause is usually more useful than one built around a device name.

Non-Surgical Options at COCO Clinic, Compared by Mechanism

The three lifting devices differ in the energy they use and the depth they reach. According to COCO Clinic's official treatment pages, they compare as follows.

DeviceEnergy and depth (per official page)What the page says about the neckKey question to ask
XERFMonopolar RF at 6.78MHz and 2MHz. Heat reaches from the dermis into deeper layers. Heated collagen contracts, and new collagen builds over about 2-3 months. The 900-shot option (forehead to neck) varies by area and is quoted at consultation. How many shots would my neck need?
SofwaveSeven parallel ultrasound beams heat the mid-dermis at about 1.5 mm. It does not target the SMAS or subcutaneous fat.In Korea it is used for wrinkles of the cheeks, chin, brow and neck. Its reference point for under-chin and neck is 100 shots.Does a dermal target match my concern?
LinearZLinear HIFU with cartridges at 4.5, 3.0 and 1.5 mm, reaching from the SMAS fascia to the dermis. The page describes facial lifting and submental concerns, and the final plan depends on the treatment area.Is a deeper focused-ultrasound approach suitable for my neck?

The XERF and LinearZ pages say these two can be done together on the same day, and the Sofwave page notes that overall sagging may suit LinearZ or XERF better.

If you are comparing XERF with other RF devices, the XERF page says the difference is in how energy is delivered, with two frequencies instead of one.

Skin Boosters Versus Lifting Devices: What Each Can and Cannot Do

Skin boosters are injectables that change the condition of the skin rather than its shape. COCO Clinic's skin booster guide describes three groups: hydrating, repair-focused and collagen-building. They suit texture and skin quality, which is a different goal from tightening.

The skin booster guide names Juveacell as a consideration for thin, delicate areas such as under the eyes and the neck. Other boosters offered include Rejuran, Juvelook and Hilo Wave. Many boosters are given as courses, and results vary between individuals.

Please note that Juveacell is listed on the pricing page as Juveacell 8% (under-eye) and Juveacell V (full face). Neck use is assessed individually, not listed as a separate product.

Official Prices and What They Do Not Tell You

The figures below come from COCO Clinic's official pricing page. All prices include VAT and are in Korean won (KRW).

How Timing, Downtime and Aftercare Compare

Official pages describe typical timelines. Individual results and recovery vary.

XERFSofwaveLinearZ
Session length30-90 min30-45 min10-20 min
DowntimeSame day; slight redness possibleSame day; redness or warmth usually settles within hoursSame day; redness usually fades the same day
When changes appearSlight tightening right after; main change over about 2-3 monthsVisible from about 4-6 weeks; peaks at about 3 monthsImmediate tightening sensation; further change over 2-3 months
Repeat sessions600 shots 1-2 times a year; 300 shots 2-3 times a yearAt least three months apartAbout three sessions 2-3 months apart, then about every 6 months

Some precautions differ between devices.

  • XERF: Metal or electronic medical implants such as a pacemaker are contraindicated. Tell the clinic about recent filler or Botox so it can set the interval; threads already in place do not get in the way.
  • Sofwave: The page says it is not performed with a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device, or during pregnancy or breastfeeding. If filler went in within the last two weeks, the clinic would rather wait; if that day is your only day, it can still proceed. Filler already in place does not rule it out. Wait until the next day to wash your face or apply make-up.
  • LinearZ: Threads already in place and metal implants do not get in the way. Tell the clinic about filler in the last two weeks or recent Botox so it can set the interval. It generally does not recommend treatment during pregnancy.

XERF's page notes that, as with any RF treatment, blisters or burns can occur in rare cases. Contact the clinic if redness or pain lasts more than a few days or a blister forms. Every procedure carries risk.

If you have an important date, COCO Clinic's column on lifting timing gives one to two months ahead as the usual reference point. Sofwave's changes peak at about three months, so allow extra time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which COCO Clinic lifting device is used for neck wrinkles?

Sofwave's official page lists neck wrinkles among its uses in Korea, and XERF has a 900-shot option that extends from the forehead to the neck. LinearZ's page covers the jawline and under-chin.

What is the difference between XERF, Sofwave and LinearZ?

XERF uses dual-frequency radiofrequency to heat the dermis and deeper layers. Sofwave uses parallel ultrasound beams confined to the mid-dermis at about 1.5 mm. LinearZ uses linear HIFU that reaches from the SMAS fascia to the dermis.

Can a skin booster tighten the neck?

Skin boosters change skin condition rather than shape, so they are aimed at texture and quality, not tightening. Some clinics combine them with lifting.

How much does neck treatment cost at COCO Clinic?

The official listed options include VAT. XERF is ₩950,000 for 300 shots, ₩1,800,000 for 600 and ₩2,600,000 for 900. Sofwave is ₩450,000 for 50 shots, ₩900,000 for 100 and ₩1,800,000 for 200. LinearZ is ₩300,000 for 500 shots, ₩400,000 for 700 and ₩500,000 for 1,000. A neck quote depends on the area and number of shots.

How far ahead of an important date should I plan lifting?

COCO Clinic's timing column gives one to two months ahead as the usual reference point, because most lifting treatments look their best as collagen builds. Confirm your own timing with the clinic.
